Sign up with Google: what to know
How the Google sign-up button works on the credentials step, what it replaces, what you still need to fill in, and how to come back to InkMap once your account is set up.
On the credentials step of sign-up, below the email and password fields, there's a Sign up with Google button. Tapping it skips the email + password + confirmation-code part of sign-up — Google handles the auth instead. You still go through the rest of the wizard (your address and date of birth come right after).
Step by step
- 1
Tap **Sign up with Google** and authorize InkMap
On the credentials step, tap Sign up with Google. Pick your Google account and authorize InkMap — Google shares your name and email, nothing more.
- 2
Continue with the rest of the wizard
You'll land on the address step. Fill in your home address and your date of birth (13+ required to use InkMap). InkMap uses the address for Map features and to surface practitioners near you.
- 3
Finish sign-up
The last screen tells you you're signed in with Google and asks you to tap Continue. Do that, and your account is created — no email confirmation code, Google has already verified your email.
Pro tips
- Your name and username come from what you typed earlier in the wizard, not from Google.
- Prefer email + password? Tap Next on the credentials step instead. You'll get a code by email — enter it to finish.
Frequently asked questions
- What does tapping **Sign up with Google** actually replace?
Three things: typing in your email, creating a password, and entering the confirmation code InkMap would otherwise email you. The rest of the wizard (address, date of birth) still runs.
- Can I use a different email than my Google one?
Not on the Google path — it uses the email tied to your Google account. If you want a different email, use the email + password form instead. You can change the email later from Settings → Account Center.
- How do I sign back in?
On the sign-in screen, tap Sign in with Google and pick the same Google account.
- Can I switch from Google to email + password later?
No — your sign-in method is set at account creation. Google-signed-up accounts have no password; Sign in with Google is the way back in.
